Phil and Teresa at the End of the Pavement
By Janice Boling

Phil and Teresa were regulars at the End of the Pavement.

Phil and Teresa were good friends, a lot of fun, and they liked to travel. They never arrived empty handed.

Phil and Teresa were a big part of our lives at the End of the Pavement.

Even though they lived in Hiawassee, they made it over at least once a week.

Phil and Teresa were always cooking or sharing a bottle of wine. Phil liked to fish and he shared his catch with us. He would fry fish, blacken fish, and grill fish. All of it was delicious.

Look at Phil's Cape Hatteras shirt. They used to go there on a regular basis and a sometimes a whole group of us went with them.

Visit the Cape Hatteras page for photos of those trips.

We all drank tequila with lemon and salt. Phil had his share plus the labels!

Richard and I went with Phil and Teresa to Cape Hatteras on two separate occasions. On the first trip, six of us went. On the second trip, there were twelve of us. What adventures we had!

Deep sea fishing, eating like kings, exploring the dunes, and trying to stay out of the wind took up most of our time.

This was one of the many camping trips we took to Bill Bowers Cove.
