Len and Gregg at the End of the Pavement
By Janice Boling

Len and Gregg were regulars at the End of the Pavement.

Len and Gregg were brothers. They were both good looking men with fun personalities.

Len, Adrian, and Gregg

Len was the oldest of the two brothers. They were a close knit family.

Len and Gregg's mom, Maudeen, always welcomed me into her home. She was the hardest working woman that I ever knew.

Maudeen worked full-time at Vogel State Park for many years. She also cleaned churches, did yard work, and kept the house spotless. You could eat off her floors.

It took Gregg awhile but he finally found a good woman. He waited for the right one to come along and she did.

David, Lisa, Deborah, and Len

David and Lisa were from Hiawassee. Len had friends from all over and he introduced me to most of them.

I spent a lot of time at Len and Deborah's house. They treated me like part of their family.

Len always kept the grill going -- his grilled pork chops and steaks were the best. He did a lot of the cooking at Trout Camp and other parties.

Len Fortenberry

Len was a handsome fellow.

He had a dark complexion and nice eyes.

Len, Deborah, and Adrian were a big part of my life. I watched Adrian grow up. He was a really neat kid.

Now Adrian is a fine young man making a name for himself as a chef in the Atlanta restaurant scene.

Visit Deborah's page for more pictures of her family.

I met Rusty at Len's house. He was a regular at the End of the Pavement for a while.
